We must acknowledge that we need a Savior.
We’ve all missed it. We’ve all fallen short. Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” We may not know it at times, but we all must acknowledge that we are in need of a Savior. That Savior is Jesus Christ. He didn't come to condemn us. He didn't come to judge us. He came to love us. Through that love, He laid down His life so that we could live.
We must believe and receive Jesus.
It’s time to open up and love that love in. We simply need to turn from our ways to His ways, and we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and was sent from Heaven. We believe he was crucified and buried for our sins. We believe that on the third day he rose from the dead. We believe He did all of this so that we may have life from the Father and spend eternity with Him in Heaven. Believing these truths about Jesus puts us in right standing with God.
We must confess with our mouth unto salvation.
Salvation means that we are now new creatures. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Once we receive this salvation, our name is written in the Lambs Book of Life. We will spend eternity with God in Heaven.
