Move Fast

Paul told the church at Philippi to forget what lay behind (move past), reach forth to what is before (move forward), and press for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus (move out). This is exactly what I am expecting in 2009 for you as individuals as well as for our corporate body: to move past, move forward, and move out.

To position ourselves properly, I am calling a 21 day “move” fast. Our fast will begin on Sunday January 11 and continue through January 31. In addition, we will gather in the United Youth sanctuary each day at noon (Sundays at 10:30 am) to pray and receive communion.

As we join ourselves together during this time of fasting and praying, I believe we will move past issues, limitations, and restrictions that have held us back. I believe you, your family, and the church as a whole will move forward with clear vision and purpose in 2009. I also expect to see many relatives, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and others move out as disciples into a lost and dying world.

I encourage you to set aside this time to join us during this 21 day life-changing experience as we “move fast” into 2009
