Healing -
I just wanted you to know that about two months ago I invited a woman to church who had less than a 5% chance for survival because of cancer that has spread to other areas in her body. She saw her Doctor that Wed. morning and her cancer numbers..pertaining to how aggresive it has become went from 1000 to ver 15000. The Dr. told her to go home and enjoy life and do whatever she wanted to do she didnt have long to live. She came to church on Healing night and the Pastor had a special word for her and actually spoke the Word of God over her. Wanda went up front for Healing and was prayed for and she told me that she had never felt such a peace in her life. She has been going to Duke because her other Dr. withheld chemo from her to get her involved in a special program and he was going to get a kickback from it. She fired the Dr and is now going to a specialist at Duke. Today!!! She called Shirley and we found out that her numbers have dropped over a thousand and are still going down!!! She is going to live and not die. Wanda has the faith to live and stand on the Word of God. Tell Pastor that we are so grateful for him being such an awsome man of God and that entire night was orchestrated by God. I am so grateful for our church and the annointing that is there. Because of who the Pastor is in the Lord and the annointing on that church, we as believers can be all that we can be in Jesus. Praise the Lord!!! Wanda is going to live. Glory to God in the Highest

Pain Free! -
Hello to everyone at Agape Faith Church. I am 29 years old and have been attending service at Agape for about 4-5 months now. I drive up from Charlotte a lot of times on faith alone because my gas gauge is usually closer to the E than the F. It is well worth it because a Church that is ALIVE! is worth the drive. Recently, I rode to church with some friends. They are the great people that introduced me to Agape Faith Church. During the ride we had a good time and our spirits were high. When service began the chills in my body began to flow and my hair began to rise all over. I get that often during service but this time it was amazingly stronger. I began to realize that the severe pain in my lower back (4 torn discs and a fractured vertebrae) that I have had every single day and night for the past 5 years was gone. Now, I don't mean like I just could not feel it at the time, I mean it was GONE! Glory to God! At first I did not say anything and did not raise my hand when Pastor Whitfield asked those who had been healed to do so. I honestly did not know what to think. Now I know exactly what happened. God took all of my pain away and He did it without me ever asking Him once. It is now six days later and I have had no pain since last Sunday in church. This act of God is a true blessing. Glory to God! Glory to God Almighty! Had my friend not been bold enough to step out of her comfort zone and speak to me - someone that she only saw at the dentist’s office where she works as I was washing a car for someone in the same parking lot - my life would most likely be a complete disaster. Now my friend and her husband are very good friends of mine and I cannot give them enough thanks for picking up my rag. God Bless Everyone, J.V.R. III

God Provides -
I have been believing for a job in the IT field for over a year. I took a leap of faith and left my sales job and two days later the Lord provided me with a work assignment with a good rate of pay. That contract ended and I was without a paycheck once again. Pastor, during service you prayed for people who were under attack, and said that within a week they would see a change. The next week, a recruiter called me and asked if I was still looking for work. I prayed and asked God to help me provide all the right answers. I went on their interview and was able to answer every question accurately, really impressing the interviewer. I got a call from the recruiters who said, "We don't know what you did to impress them, but it worked. Not only are you the only applicant out of six to get positive feedback, but they want you for a position higher than the one you applied for." Praise the Lord! It’s not because of who I am but it’s because of Whose I am!

Reconciliation -
Pastor, my husband and I had been having relationship problems with some very close relatives for the past year and a half. They told us that the relationship was completely over and would never be restored. We know that we are serving a God of restoration and that even though in the natural it seemed like their hearts would never change, we knew that God could and would! We had been praying about the relationship but we then turned our prayers to praise, and started praising and confessing that the relationship would one day be reconciled. Pastor, you prophesied in a service that a relationship would be restored within 7 days. We didn't know if the words prophesied were for us but we reached out and took them as ours. On the 7th day from your prophecy my husband spoke to his relatives and made some resolutions. Our relatives are in agreement with us to start the relationship again. They have committed to come down to see us. We are continuing to believe the relationship to be even stronger than it was before all the disagreements started. God is not done with this situation and we look forward to what he has in store for us in 2004!

Lifting the Burden of Stress -
I am a single mother of two teenage children. While I was saved over 20 years ago, in the past two years I had stopped attending church. I have always had a very strong faith and therefore, great peace, but in the past few years it seemed that one bad thing after another clouded my days. I kept trying to hold on to my faith, but after loosing my job and my car, and with health problems, it has been a struggle everyday just to get out of bed. I made the decision to come to AFC and I brought my two teenagers with me. I was so uplifted and moved by the music and the message, and by the warm way that everyone welcomed us. Teenagers walked up to my children and welcomed them and introduced themselves. I have never seen children do that before. Everyone we have met at the church has greeted us with a smile and open arms. That has meant so much to us. Suddenly that burden of stress that I had been living under had been lifted. Though I still don't have a job, and my van is old and makes a lot of noise, I will continue to come every week, because I have witnessed first hand, God's work in my life. That is where I want to be. I believe that God led me to you, and I know that He has great things in store for us this year. I've even been working on myself, specifically, my disobedience with tithing. I have never tithed as I should. I don't have much to give, but I joyfully give back to God what is his, because my faith has been restored abundantly. I trust completely in God as my sole and soul provider.

Overcoming Pain & Hurt -
Pastor, in a recent service you prophesied that someone to was dealing with a lot of hurt and pain and that they were having a hard time forgetting it. You then stated that within a few days they were going to wake up one morning and they were not going to be able to remember that hurt any longer. When you shared those things I remember raising my hands and receiving that prophetic word for myself. I have been dealing with a lot of hurt and painful memories related to issues in my marriage. My husband and I have have very difficult times and he told me several times that he wanted a divorce. Even though I forgave him I could not seem to forget the hurt. It had come to the point that it hurt to even look at him. BUT! God has begun to do a work in him and he is really determined to change yet I couldn't rid of that hurt. I remember thinking one evening as I was laying in bed, "Lord, I received those words, why is the hurt still there?" I went to sleep and when I woke up the next morning and stepped in the shower, it hit me that the hurt was gone! I even began to try to remember that feeling of hurt and pain, but I couldn't! Glory to God! He is good and His mercy Endures forever!

New Job -
I am writing to share a praise report of what God has done for me and to thank you for your many prayers. I just received a wonderful job offer. My base salary is the same as before and the commission structure is 'uncapped'. Additionally, I'll receive a company car. I know this is the will of The Lord because I prayed and asked God to only open the door He wanted me to enter. Through this entire ordeal I really did learn to trust God and I stopped worrying. I came to realize that the financial success or failure of my family is not up to me and that my husband is the priest of the home. He's anointed to be the head, not me. This really set me free. Glory to God!

Breakthrough -
I wanted to take an opportunity to share some exciting news and praise report. A little over 7 months ago I was laid off from my job. It has been a difficult 7 months, but I have tried to remain positive and trust my Lord that everything was in His hands. At times, that has been hard to do. Admittedly, there have been times I wanted to throw a pity party, but I knew I would be the only one to show up. I went to an interview last week and, praise God, was offered a position. Not only do I have a new job but also in a very short period of time, I will be making more money than I was at my old position. I was reading in 2 Corinthians, where Paul spoke of the affliction and oppressing distress he had been through. He said he was unbearably weighed down and crushed; it felt like he had received the sentence of death. Imagine what it would feel like to be sentenced to death! But he said this was to keep him from trusting in and depending on himself instead of God who raises the dead. Reading this gives me hope, and no matter where one finds themselves, if they press on, trusting in God, they will find hope as well. I want to thank you for your support and prayers through this time, but most of all want to thank you for your heart, your love, and your stand to preach and speak the truth. God never ceases to come through and amaze me!
